Standard Seal

Loaded with O-ring or X-ring, the lip seal is used for numerous oilfield applications from downhole drilling jars, shock tools, drilling motors, downhole pumps, valves, and blow-out preventer. Materials are PU, Hytrel, HNBR, XNBR, Viton and Aflas. For both rod and piston applications.

This asymmetrical Urethane U-Cup has a shorter, heavier sealing lip to achieve higher initial sealing force. The addition of a secondary seal lip provides added stability in the seal groove, which enhances the long term performance. For rod application only.

The lip configuration of these seals is to give both squeeze sealing force and lip sealing force. It offers redundant sealing lips for additional lip contact. DZ-seal is especially useful for cylinders with long stroke length. With an additional delta backup, DZR-seal is able to resist higher pressure. For rod application only.

Both the LTP and LCP have locking backup design to prevent the backups being sheared off during assembly. Being bi-directional, they are used in both rod and piston applications.

Buffer seal is used for extreme pressure spikes, so as to protect the rod seal. A slight rocking action occurs when the rod retracts to relieve the pressure trapped between the two seals. For rod application only.

With a Nitrile energiser, this is for most high duty cycle linear actuators, with excellent pressure and life capability. The GH and APR have PTFE cap for low fricition, with the APR having better sealability due to the inclusion of X-ring. The DPV has a premium urethane cap for high sealability, while the SCP has a high strength glass filled nylon cap for extended service life. Designed to retrofit standard O-ring grooves. For piston application only.

With a loaded O-ring energiser, the beveled lip provides high sealability over prolonged period. CPV is recommended where axial space is limited, and is able to fit into standard O-ring grooves. CPB is designed to retrofit standard O-ring grooves with 1 or 2 backups, and is able to resist higher pressure. For both rod and piston applications.

This is a 5-piece piston seal incorporating guide rings.

Wear guide serves as a bearing and low cost replaceable wear surface. Wear rings are stocked in numerous sizes of glass filled nylon and can be custom machined in Phenolic, Nylon, and PTFE. Also available are wear ring strips.

Wipers are used to exclude the dirt on reciprocating shafts. They are used on valve stems, drilling motors, shock tools, drilling jars, downhole pumps, chemical injection pumps and MWD tools. Various styles are available depending on application. In the case of metal clad wipers like MC, SC and PADV, the metal retaining ring allows simple press fit assembly into a counterbore.

The encapsulated O-ring leverages on the advantages of a chemically resistant PTFE jacket over a low-compression set elastomer core usually Silicone or Viton. This resulted in excellent properties for a wide range of demanding applications. The encapsulated O-ring is far more cost competitive compared to the FFKM O-ring.

The Backup is an anti-extrusion device for O-rings. Backups are recommended for all applications with pressure exceeding 1,500psi. We stock a wide range of sizes in materials like NBR, Viton, Nylon, PPS, PEEK, and PTFE.

Parts can be pre-packaged in individual bags with part numbers, then assembled for field replacement kits labeled as required in either a zip-lock bag or specially designed boxes with customer name and part number.

Radial Shaft Seal is also called an oil seal, grease seal, rotary seal, and transmission seal. It is primarily used for rotating shafts to keep low pressure oil in and dirt out. Available in metal cased and fabric reinforced, with sealing lip in materials of NBR and Viton. Commonly used are the metric CR shaft seal HMSA10 profile with auxiliary lip.

V-ring seals are all-rubber seals for rotating shafts. They consist of a body and a conical shaped sealing lip that is joined to the body by means of a resilient “hinge”. Available in NBR and Viton materials.

For radial shaft seal to work well, the condition of the shaft surface is of significant importance. Wear sleeve is meant to simply pushed over the damaged shaft surface, allowing the shaft to be re-used within minutes.
