This is typically used in applications where elastomeric seals are not suitable due to chemical resistance, high friction, extreme temperatures, high speeds, etc. Applications include metering pumps, downhole tools, chemical pumps, high pressure valves, steam valves, gas compressors and swivel joints. Cantilever Spring Loaded PTFE Seal
Helical Spring Loaded PTFE Seal
Similar to the cantilever spring loaded PTFE seal, the helical spring will give rise to higher compressive force on the sealing surfaces. It is more suitable for gas sealing in static application.
Face Seal
This seal replaces flange gaskets and is not subject to loss of sealing force as most gasket materials are. The beveled lips offer high unit loading for excellent sealing. It is available for both internal and external pressure. Available in PTFE and PEEK.
Triple Lip PTFE Seal
This has multiple sealing lips and thus are well suited for sealing viscous fluids. The use of overlapping springs ensure equal distribution of compressive forces on the sealing lips.
Flanged PTFE Seal
The flanged heel suits it for use in rotary applications where the clamped flange prevents seal rotation. For cryogenic applications, the clamped flange reduces thermal contraction of the seal outer diameter away from the gland.
Rotary PTFE Seal
This seal is ideal for low pressure dynamic shaft application. The outer diameter is sealed with an O-ring, reducing slippage on the static surface, while the inner diameter contact surface is low friction PTFE for dynamic sealing.
Valve Seat
Valve seats for either ball or gate valves. Materials include elastomer, PTFE, nylon, acetal or PEEK.
